    Wink Lurker with a question

Hello Everyone! I hope you don't mind a lurker popping in with a question! I'm a FTM and my ds is almost 6mths. I'm scheduling a photo session for him for 6mth photos and to also do something for our Christmas card. Does anyone have any poses to recommend for a baby of this age? I did buy a santa hat to bring - I'm just trying to think of something different to do with his photos...

Thanks so much! I hope it's okay to pop in and do this!

Edited to add: I also plan to do some family pictures. A couple with just me and ds and dh with ds and then with all 3 of us...

I can either go to the photographers studio or have them on location but this time of year I'm not sure about outdoors and here at my house I don't know that I'd have enough light? Thanks - I'll check out flickr and do a search!

Many photogs can add light, but you can never take it away.

6 mo. is a fun age! They can start to sit, they smile...I'm sure you'll get some good ones.

I'm sure the photographer will have some ideas too.

I have a picture framed in my room of my older daughter from when she was 6 months old ... she's naked with just a santa hat so you see a little butt from behind the hat. She's 6 now, and I just haven't taken that picture down, I think it's so cute. (she's laying on her belly and just wearing the hat)

It's the photographer's job to have pose ideas, but it's not a bad idea to check out flickr for anything specific you may want to request.

Look through flickr images and see what you like. Do you like the variety that outdoors offers or do you prefer the clean look of a studio?

If you can, it would be even better to look at the photographer's previous work and see what they do best and what grabs you.

I love the outdoor photos but depending on whether we just may have to do some fun indoor shots.
