I havent been on in here in forever. but you girls were the first I thought of when I was trying to figure out how to make my friends birth announcements.......... are there free templetes I can use or can I use my paint shop pro photo x2?? I found some templetes but she wants it like a friend of hers, where there is 1 tall pic, and then next to that 3 sideways pics. and then all the info at the bottom of the card. I'm guessing I can do it in my photo program but have never done anything like that so I guess I would need a step-by-step.... lol
Here's a few of the pics, I was pretty darn proud of myself considering this was my first time doing a newborn photo shoot and it was super cloudy and grey out so the large window I set up by wasnt much help.... the mom absolutely LOVES them and keeps going on how great they are and she showed all her family an dfriends and they cant believe how amazing they are. yay!
she's a HUGE cubs fan....
poor babe is peeling like crazy (8 days old) and got flakes all over moms shirt. which I need to clone out still..........

First, the images you have posted will not print well. They are very dark and yellow. You need to brighten and reduce some of that yellow for it to print nicely. Your black and white is very muddy.
Second, there are a lot of free templates, but it requires a lot of searching. Does she really need to have that specific template?
Here's a quick one.. maybe you can put three more pictures at the bottom or use this for reference?
thanks for the comments. the baby was very yellow and the skin tones looked pretty close to me......... I will reduce the yellow some and see what happens. as far as dark........ I know my monitor isnt calibrated but I have ordered through WHCC several times and they always turned out well??? what do you mean by 'muddy'??? any suggestions on what I could do to improve them? I converted to black and white through the channel mixer which I was told was the best way??? thanks for any help! lord knows I have alot to learn still!
Love the ones with that hat! Adorable! Muddy means that there isnt much contrast between the white and black. I notice it in the first bw pic, but the second bw pic looks alright to me. I used to make my bw's in channel mixer too. I use a gradient map layer now and like the results much better. Ill have to go and check out the free templates in the pp.
I use the LAB method for converting balck and whites, then adjust in curves... seems to work well for me, but I don't know how to do it any differently.
I use photoshop for all my designs, so I am not sure about designing in other programs. Good Luck!
