Maternity shoot....

I had a maternity session last weekend. The winter is tough to shoot in after such a bright and warm and pretty fall with all of the bright colors! Oof! But i got some that i was happy with. I ended up with more in b/w than usual because the foliage wasn't as glorious...but i think it worked out...
there are already editted and into collages for blog posting so no info on the shots but CC is welcome but not necessary. The last one was my favorite. I have a thing for sun flare/rainbows and usually try to get one shot in if possible at most any outdoor shoot. Smile so sue me. Smile

((the first one on the right was underneath a cool looking gazebo, so i'm not a huge fan of the tables and STUFF behind them, but the emotion in the photo was too much to pass up so i included it))

Love the scrabble tile idea and I LOVE the last one. I agree, the tables are the greatest, but you know, the emotion is great. Can you get rid of the vehicle?

I agree, the Scrabble idea is great!

On the last one, can you play with curves a little? It seems too flat?

The first one is a nice moment between the two of them, but you can't really see her belly, so it doesn't say "maternity" to me.

LOVE THOSE SCRABBLE TILES! What a fun idea!!!

On the whole your b&w conversions look really nice and you got a lot that I am sure the couple will truly cherish.

You might try a portrait crop on that one w/ the tables - a bit less clutter to take away from the truly great moment you caught between them.

TFS!

thx for the cc guys! I did play with the curves on the last one and darkened up the shadows a bit to give it more depth....and removed the car as best i could from the close up. Smile As for the tighter crop on the one with the tables...i'm afraid to crop it much more than i already did. That is about half of the frame already. I was going for trying to get them with the tall steeple like roof on the building but cropped that one in closer for the emotion. I think if i crop it any tighter it wouldn't print well Sad

These are sweet. I love your conversions! I'm not crazy about the comp in #1 either. I do like the surroundings, and the fence leading into where they are, but it feels a little off on the angle or positioning of them?
I must learn to do the rainbow thing, because I love that! I've gotten sun flares accidentally, and do need to learn those too, but omg the rainbow makes me feel happy, lol.
