Thread: This is me (no CC necessary)

So, I'm still trying to figure out how to get a good self-portrait. The picture below is one that I took of me and DD. As you can see, I'm still having issues with getting pics in focus when I'm not behind the camera. I ran this pic through a sharpening action a few times and it's still OOF But, it's good enough for my new preg.org avatar.

Anyway, just wanted to share a pic of myself so you all could see what I look like. Hopefully soon, you can see what I look like CLEARLY!

I have the exact same problem!! I just did some photos of DD and I and they were off focus just a smidge. I'm going to try to have DD sit where we're going to be and manual focus, so that way I KNOW it will be OK.

it's really hard to nail the focus on a self portrait. I actually took a few this week, they're in my "to do" collection. hope to share soon!

hey there your little girl is so big and look at that curly hair! it's a great picture regardless.

SPs are *so* hard!!!! I am going to try some this week too. I think I will try a fairly closed aperture so that the chances of getting me in focus will be better (I hope).

Good on you for trying! I think this is a bit of a trial and error kind of process until you find something that works for you.
