A memorial balloon release

This past weekend marked the third anniversary of an amazing and sweet girl growing her wings. Andrea and Rayni were born 2 weeks apart and were friends ever since. She passed away when she was 10 1/2 years old. My DD1, Andrea released a bouquet of purple balloons in honor of Rayni's life and memory. I was privileged to capture the moment.

I'm so sorry for the loss of her friend. So young. Sad What a beautiful way to honor her, and you did a wonderful job capturing the moment.

These pictures are great, but what a sad thing to hear. Sad It was so nice that you were able to capture this moment though! Love the big empty field and the different shades of purple. Great job!

Thanks guys. Obviously there are no "reshoots" with something like this, so I struggled to get it right, esp with exposure with so much sky. The SOOCs were just not soft enough, so I went out and (gasp) downloaded the quietide action from ILP. I ran it and reduced opacity quite a bit.
