I don't have one yet, but I have signed them when I used to model as a teenager. I'm pretty sure its just to be clear on the terms. For insance, If I want to post the photos of a stranger on a photography board, and they agree, I could have them sign a contract that says they are ok with that. Or in this case, that they will not edit print any of the photographs I've taken. It's really something I need to learn more about.
I'm using a model release as a portfolio building tool. If they sign the release allowing me to use them in my gallery, they get the PBing discount. I typed mine specifically with a PBing feel to it, but if you'd like it, you can have it!
