I took our babysitter and her mom out yesterday for a photo shoot, to get some more practice. I was quite discouraged when I downloaded them as I really struggled with focus. I just don't understand why, and it's sad because a few of the best shots were trashed because they were too soft. I do think I got some shots they'll be happy with, and a couple in particular that I just love, but I also know I made a lot of errors (besides focus), so I welcome CC. People are suddenly asking me to take their portraits regularly, and it's stressing me out because I'm not confident and I have a long ways to go, so I need to get better!! Here's some shots; I'm so tired right now I'm going to post the shots without settings, but would be happy to add settings if needed. Editing seemed tough between the very 'glowing' golden hour light and the fact that the mom is blonde with very tanned skin. 1. My favourite of the two of them: 2. Really love these two, and there's one more at this spot too. Not 100% sure about the skin tones. 3. 4. 5. 6. She is very self-conscious about her teeth, so it was awesome to get one natural smile out of her! 7. 8. Is the shadow from the nose too harsh? I love the light though. 9. 10.
