Dumb question, but can a monitor calibration tool like Spyder 2 Pro be used more than once? DH didn't think so, but I see a used kit advertised on Craigslist, and so I'm wondering.

Yes. But you have to have the serial number. Mine is used and I just had to download the software from data color and enter the serial number.
Awesome, thanks, Steph! Not sure if we'll do it, but if I can get a deal, I'd like to try. With this new monitor, it seems like the best idea.

Mac or PC? I read on the data color site that spyder2express has to run with the spyder3express software if you are running lion. Which I am. Then I read that it doesn't read LCD backlight, which I also have. I'm not really trusting my calibration right now until I get some more test prints from Miller's. I will let you know how it turns out.
PC, and it's an LCD monitor. Hmmm. Thanks for the info, let me know what happens with your prints!

Looks like the prints are shipped out. My WHCC prints didn't match. Much warmer on my screen than the print. I liked it when I was clueless to colors![]()
Well, I got the Miller's test prints in the mail just now. I compared the non-color corrected photos to the uncalibrated default colors on the monitor, and it matched pretty much perfectly. Their color adjusted versions didn't match either profile. Looks like I will be sticking with the uncalibrated version.
