Thread: More Maternity - pic heavy

I'm up to my eyeballs with photos from this maternity session. I have a lot to learn about maternity, but hopefully this "fresh faces" session has resulted in some decent images to add to my portfolio.

Don't feel like you have to comment on everything, but would love to hear some thoughts.

I have to get to bed, so will come back to reply tomorrow. I just wanted to give a quick reply to say that I am LOVING this set!!!! You have some amazing images here! I'll give more detailed thoughts on them tomorrow.

I am completely in love with these.

# 4 is just stunning!! I keep scrolling up to have another look!

# 2 is beautiful and definitely not too much for a website.

# 6 is nice and not too much for the site either but I just wish her knickers were following the belly line as its a tad distracting

Beautiful work! I love the "sexy mom-to-be" style shots and think a lot of women might be interested in doing a session.

It's hard to choose, but I believe #1 and #2 are my favorites. I prefer #6 to #7 because of how her breasts lay naturally. #4 is nice and dramatic, too. I love the fall of the white drape against the dark background.

She is one gorgeous mama!

1. This is my fav out of all! She looks great, her eyes are perfect, and I LOVE that couch!

2. she is hot! I don't think it's too revealing b/c I am sure there are a lot of mom's out there that would love a photo like this! Around here, not so much. If it's what you are going for, then go for it!

5. my least fav of the bunch. Just not as great as the others, still great though!

6 & 7- I perfer 6 b/c of her top half. I just think it looks better than them being cupped.

Her cat is gorgeous too!

Beautiful, really beautiful. I love the PP in #4....I just wish in #4 she had both hands up near her neck instead of one around her breast, with both arms hiding her breasts instead of her hand hiding it. For the same reason, I too prefer #6 over #7 just because I'm not a fan of the hands cupping the breasts. lol.

That is such a great couch. And the curtain/fabric behind #5 looks beautiful with her lace gown. Was this at her house?

My favorite is #1.

The cat's eyes are amazing in the cat pic---did you do a color pop?

Yes, this was her house. I had all my backdrops and some lovely fabric that I brought and didn't need to use at all. Funny thing is that the colors in her house were the same colors of the fabrics that I brought. I was thrilled that I didn't need to start hanging fabrics.

It can be hard to get a sense from people over the phone what their style and preference is...but it was funny because as soon as I entered the house I knew exactly what direction these photos were going to go. There was not going to be any "sweet casual" stuff going on in that house. LOL!

Yes, I did pop the kitty's eyes a bit. They were nice and blue though. Funniest thing is how his eyes both rolled out to the sides...sort of the opposite of cross eyed. Very funny.

Caz...I hear you about the underwear in #6...such a bummer! Wish I'd noticed it when I was shooting, but I still love the image.

The lace gown is sort of funny. I was running around the house trying to find appropriate maternity clothing of mine from my pregnant days. I came across this nightown in my hunt. It's actually the nightgown from my wedding night! It has a big slit that starts at the bustline. I figured....if it fits her in the bust, the slit will allow for the belly. It just barely fit her....we went with it. I've cloned out the slit in image #5.

Love it!!! Did she have any stretch marks at all?

I see some on her breasts in #7 LOL I noticed because I had lots of them there too haha TMI.

I love the crispness of photo #6! and the dreamy texture of #7!
