My Babies (CC)

I felt compelled to photograph the boys together yesterday with all of the emotions that had been running through my head. So I showed Carson a couple of poses, and let him choose one, then put them in their Christmas sweaters and promised them candy canes Wink They were so cooperative!

I'd love any CC you have for these. Especially on processing. I really want to fall into a processing style. I strive for clean edit.

1/500 f/2.2 ISO 200 50mm (and slightly overexposed in camera)

#1
Drew thought Carson looked mad in this one. I liked this more serious one the best, though.

You can tell how happy they were with their candy canes Wink

Adorable, and I think I agree with you on my fave being #1, but I like #2 as well. My cc is that I would maybe have liked to see Carson's legs just to the side of Jackson's legs, rather than all the way behind Jackson's.

I think the photographic elements are beautiful as always.

I have to say I also love #1. I am very impressed with how good they cooperated! Your edits are spot on. I really think they are all three keepers! I am very impressed with the focus here at 2.2. Wishing mine would do that good! Smile

I agree about Carson's legs. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but I think you're right that he should have spread them a bit so they weren't directly behind Jackson. Thank you both for the feedback!

Sadie, I've found that I have to keep my SS WAY high, or I just can't get a tack sharp image. This is one of the reasons I'm struggling so much indoors. I just can't get my settings where I need/want them to be and then I just get so frustrated!

I'm with your hubby on the serious one Carson does look mad, I do love the fact that both their eyes are fully open in this shot though. The happy shots are adorable and the colour appears good (on my work laptop so difficult to judge). I agree with Amy that Jackson could have been moved to the side a bit.

Your pictures of your boys always amaze me, I have two kids that just won't stay still for a shot, and you'd think the 13 year old would be co-operative, nope.

I also agree about the legs. I couldn't quite place it until it was pointed out. #1 is nice, and I can see why it's your fave. I for one like #3 the best. Love those smiles!

I don't have anything to add. I agree with Amy about Carson being more to the side (or his legs more obvious). I like #1 the best

Your lighting in your siggy pic looks great! Did you do that just using your speedlight?

Yes. It was attached to my camera and I bounced it off the wall to the side.
