Sharing, cause I think he's cuteI welcome any CC you have to give/offer!
Shot in the cave of a house I have, natural light from a kind of nearby window.
1/160 f/1.4 ISO 1600
I wish I could have closed up my AP some to get a little more of his head in focus, but alas, my camera is starting to hold me back. I'm thinking I'm about ready for an upgrade, but stupid $$ getting in the way...
And in B&W, cause I'm starting to appreciate B&W shots and what goes into making a "good" one. I used to NEVER convert my pictures. I always hated the way they looked. Now, there are some that I actually prefer the B&W over the color, which I never thought would happen.

WOW! I love this one!!! And your conversion ROCKS too! Mind sharing your process? Do you use the gradient method or an action or what?!
Both of these are great!

Don't mind sharing at all! First of all, I don't usually convert an image unless it has directional lighting. I've been working on getting directional light on my subjects for the past couple of months now, and I can't believe the difference it makes in a black and white photo. When I convert one of my photos with flat lighting, the conversion just looks so blah. But with all the different shades of black white and grey in a photo with directional light, it really creates depth.
I have you to thank for my method of conversion, actually. I did a gradient map on it. Then, I messed around with levels and curves both until I got it how I wanted it.
This is just so beautiful! Wonderful capture.
Thank you, Amber! It really means a lot coming from you. I admire your work![]()
