Default My very first practice session with a fam.

Even though I knew the girl in college, I was still super nervous! I had to drive an hour to get there, and I only knew of one solid location I saw while driving through their town a few weeks ago. Any CC I would love and appreciate. I promised her only 5-10 edited pics on a disc, but so far have come up with 20+ solid pictures to give them, so overall I'm happy with this being my first run. I do realize I need to be less nervous next time and not worry about taking the time to get my exposure just right.

    Exposure 1/2500 sec
    Aperture f/3.5
    Focal Length 105 mm
ISO Speed 1000 (Not sure why I didn't change it)

They were so tall that they were a bit taller than the bit of shade I had to put them in.

Sometimes I do love uploading pics to flickr, it seems to give me another look, as this one prob needs warming.

Great job Kristen! You are rocking the new camera! I'm going to get picky even though I think these are super nice.

    Love #1

#2 - the lighting looks strange, like the top of mom and dads faces are brighter than the bottoms??

#3 - I think the reflection in the window is a tad distracting.

#4 - SO CUTE! The mom is going to LOVE this! I do wish he were looking at the camera, but I know how hard it is to get the LO to look at you, and not over your shoulder at mom and dad.

They must be really happy with these, and I think you did fantastic for your first practice shoot!

WOW Kristen! I love, love, love these!

    1) PRECIOUS! I so wish I had one like this of me and my baby boy! She's gorgeous too!
    2) I agree about the lighting looking a bit strange on the top of their heads.... Dad looks a bit uncomfortable, but maybe that's how he always looks?
    3) Cute idea, but I am not sure about the reflection....
    4) LOVE! It might need a bit warming, but this is adorable!

You are so rocking that camera! I hope to improve like you one day!

I am still too novice to give actual CC, but I can say, that as a mom, I would be more than thrilled to get these pictures! The reflection didn't strike me until I read PP comments...now I notice it, but it's only slightly distracting! Great work!

Thanks girls! I think I may go back in #2 and try to even out the exposure on their faces. They are seriously so tall, I want to say she's almost 6ft, that I had to stand on a hill for some of them! They dressed so well though, I was so happy about that.

Yup, dad kind of looks uncomfortable in all of the pictures, I think that's his natural smile.

I'm going to burn their CD towards the end of the day. I was happy with how quickly I was able to edit their session too, so that gives me a lot of hope for the next 2 sessions I have this week.

    Great job!

    #1 LOVE!!!

#2 The light on top of the heads is distracting definitely. But I absolute love the location. The colors, the fence....great!

#3 Great of all of them, but not sure about the window behind

#4 Love this! Maybe a slightly tighter crop, but I love it!
