I posted asking for help on ILP, but as per usualy, if you are a newbie, you get ignored and I REALLY need some new suggestions and you ladies are so reliable!
Anyway, this is what I posted:
Thankfully, according to the weather forecast it is supposed to be a nice day, but the fields will be waterlogged from the weeks of crappy weather, so am still unsure of what I should do.Hi! My little man is turning 9 months on Friday and I am struggling to think of new idea's for posing him. I don't have much in the way of props, a basket and a rocking horse (which he is too little for I think). I wish I had a nice little chair. Would anyone mind sharing pics from around the 9 months age? He's going to be my last baby (he's my 3rd son!) so I really want to make the most of his babyhood.
I am in the UK and the weather is pretty diabolical, so the shoot will most likely be indoors with poor lighting (better get to grips with my flashgun and FAST!) If it is nice, I want to try and get outside too.
You know, I didn't get hardly anything when Matt was 9 mo. old.
I love classic nudie babies whereever...on a black bg, in a field, in a tub whatever!
Baby standing sitting in between dh's legs playing...again nudie or clothed.
baby sitting and somone blowing bubbles to get their attention.
Hmm...I'll keep thinking.
I love that age!! They can sit up by themselves and stand holding onto things, but can't get away too quickly. Anything will work--a cute stool to hang onto, a nice basket, a wagon, etc. I have these on Flickr of 9 month olds:
This one is pretty old, I was new to photography so there are a lot of things "wrong" with it, but I still love it!
Thank-you! I am definately planning a few more (cos who can ever have enough?!) nudie shots, might incorporate one of dh's tie's into one.... not a la pretty woman though! Lots of good idea's. LO about not being able to escape fast, Zack is fast enough, lol! I can see the basket coming back out to contain him. I am sure I am going to get lots of the top of his head and the back of him, but it will show his character right?!
Meagan, lovely pics, that background is gorgeous and the little one is just adorable!
Baskets and buckets are fun... since it is still summer (kind of) you could get away with sticking him in a giant beach pail, scatter some sand toys, a beach towel and let him chew on or wave a shovel. I have also done "baby soup" with a chef hat, lots of veggies, a wooden spoon with baby in a cooking pot.
Hmmm... Blocks, spelling his name or "9 months" with him playing with another stack?
Beth... mom to Andrea 7-26-97, Gavin 10-16-01, Kade 5-25-08 and Bentli Grace 09-09-09.
I agree about the blocks! I use favorite toys alot. Something to keep their attention and that shows their personality at that age. umm..... he could pull up on an old chair or chest... Ill keep thinking too. I also love the naked baby sitting facing the background on plexi with a black background to show their adorable baby bum!
Thanks ladies! I forgot the darn plexi...grrr!
I am just uploading the pics from this morning (I end up doing his sessions in 3 parts between naps and feeds ).
I'm uploding to photobucket as I would probably make them private on Flickr
