Default need a new camera bag, on a tight budget...

I now have three lenses for my SLR instead of 2, (the newest one being a 70-300mm), and my "standard" camera bag cannot hold everything anymore LOL. Should I create my own, or what are your suggestions for the best inexpensive durable bigger bag that will hold things securely in their places? TIA!

My large lenses came with bags of their own. I usually keep them in those unless at a wedding where I may need to switch lenses.

Then I use the shootsac or Bokehbag

You can create some awesome padding for a bag you may already have for pretty cheap if your crafty.

I don't know your budget, but I just got this Lowepro Passport. It doesn't have a huge camera section. It holds my 50D with 12-24 lens attached and my 50mm and extension tubes in the other part. I bought some neoprane lens bags to keep my other lenses in loose in the other space. Took my whole bag loaded with gear over the weekend and it did great. You can find the black version for around $40.

There's also this Lowepro Messenger. It's only around $25 and is a great little bag for a camera with lens attached and 1 to 2 additional lenses. My brother has it and carries his 30D, Tamron 24-75, and 50mm. I think there is still another space for an additional lens or flash.

Sorry, bags are my total obsession (can you tell?)

You might try Craigslist as well. I've seen a lot of photo equipment and accessories on there. I haven't bought any photo stuff yet but I did sell my Nikon 6006 on CL. Someday, if I ever get paid to shoot, I'm going to check CL for a wheeled camera bag to carry all my equipment.

Thanks Janet! Since browsing today, I am falling in love with the adorable custom camera bags on Etsy now LOL...they use such awesome fabrics. *sigh* guess I have to save up to get one someday soon!

I really like the messenger-bag style ones you all pointed out. I will probably go with one like that since they're so much more affordable!!
