Need some serious critique

We took some family pictures in our back yard yesterday with the help of my neighbor. We're planning on printing a huge canvas to hang above our fireplace, so I need some major feedback on my edit. There are things that I would have changed, had I been the one actually behind the camera, but it's things that can't really be changed in PP.

I can't comment too much on colour, etc. right now as the monitor I'm on SUCKS, but I can say it's a beautiful, natural picture -- you all look happy and natural. Great family shot!! It will look beautiful on canvas!

Yeah I can't say much as to colour, on my work laptop with awful colour. I have to agree with Tracy it is a great natural family photo.

Ahh!! I found one of the other's at the same angle with the dog looking! Here's an edited version swapping Bailey's head into the original.

I think it's very pretty and a great family shot. I tend to want to see it cropped slightly closer though, even though I absolutely love the glow of sun at the top. It just feels like I want to pull you as a group closer to see better. Is Jackson's face soft?

I've left the crop as it was in the camera aside from straightening it slightly, since I'll be doing a canvas of it. That should bring us in some more. I zoomed in on it, and everyone's face looks the same. It was shot at f/5.0, and she said she put the focal point on Drew's shoulder.

I can't comment on color since I am at work on an uncalibrated computer. But as I can see color looks good - your husband's face seems a slight magenta. This is just my opinion.

I am not liking the bright sun above, I think it takes away from the focus of the picture which is your family. I would clone some leaves on there if you decide to keep the crop as is. I would also like to see a closer crop on a group. Besides the bush next to you doesn't really add anything to the picture :)

Ok for the nitpicky part. I would clone your husband's shoes sole, it's in an odd place.

I'm on my phone so I can't really comment on colour. You have some great cc already. I agree with El about the bright son and now that she has pointed the shoe out I see that too. I didn't notice on my own though. I'd like a slightly tighter crop too. Or even a panoramic crop if you can get canvas that size / shape.

Thank you so much for the responses! This isn't the final crop, so I'm going to see what I can do about the bush when I preview the print when I order it. I did notice the shoe :( He was NOT sitting the way I posed him LOL! I had his back leg up and bent so that his foot was flat on the ground. He must have shifted when Carson sat on his lap. I think I'm going to just leave it in, cause I think if I tried to fix it, I'd make it worse. I'll have to play with it a bit and see if anything can be done.

I happen to love it. Yes, I would like to see a closer crop, but I would hang it up huge if it was my family too! Not everything can be perfect, so I say roll with it and LOVE IT!
