Need your quick opinions *updated with orig color background*

I made this tutu and was really excited about it, but the pics didnt turn out as fancy as I had hoped. I took the pics on a white background. I messed around with selective coloring layers and ended up with this.... HONESTLY! what do you think??? At first I really liked it, but will it print out okay? now I just dont know if it looks too fake....

I'm not feeling the cyan on the background at all- IMO, it just doesn't seem intentional, kwim? Almost like a WB thing. However, I LOVE the tutu- great job and what a beautiful little girl!

Thank you for your honest opinion! I am going add a double layer to the tutu to make it fluffier for next time!

i agree, looks more like a wb balance problem than a colour on purpose

but great job on the tutu, love the colours

I'd blow out that background and mask the baby back.

Hope you don't mind a quick play.

First did a levels layer to improve the exposure...pulled the right hand slider to meet the line in the histogram and used the middle slider to brighten the midtones some. Then did a 2nd levels layer to blow the highlights....just pulled the right hand slider to the left to make the background completely white and then masked the baby back in with a nice big soft brush. Then I brightened the eyes a little and touched up the color with a color balance layer...lowered yellow a touch in highlights and midtones. Tried a different crop...and that's it.

love the tutu!

I'm with the others on the WB vs. intentional color. Amber has a very nice edit there, really love how that came out. (and I have to say, it makes me want to jump back into editing my cake smash pictures, took a LONG break from it)
