new Eva pics, finally...4 for share/cc

Eva actually let me take photos of her this past weekend, for the first time in months! So I was happy Smile I wanted to share a few and hear some cc on them. I know I still have tons to learn about taking pics of people!

Flickr made a few of these look less clear than they were before I uploaded them to there.
Settings taken from Flickr.

1. SS 1/320, f/5, ISO 800 (it was a pretty cloudy late afternoon/early evening)...the white looks a little off here...

2. SS 1/400, f/5, ISO 800

3. SS 1/320, f/4.5, ISO 400...color still looks slightly off...

4. settings not in Flickr...I guess since it was processed thru Noiseware before uploading (?)...this still looks too dark to me....I'll check the settings later when I'm at home...

I'm glad Miss Eva agreed to be photographed for her adoring public! Smile

I really like the closeups, especially #2, although it does seem a bit grainy (could it be the noiseware?) #1 is sweet, too--you've captured the spunk in her eye, and her expression is priceless! I agree that #4 looks a little dark, but it should be pretty easy to correct. Although I tend to like closeups, I'm glad you included the full-body shots with her cute little dress.

What a cutie! I want to just give her tons of hugs! I think you did a great job. I really like #3. Love the bare feet and the hay she is standing on. And what a cute dress!

Hope others can give you better CC. Sorry, still learning here, but she is adorable!

Theseare great! I love the lighting and all in #2. Number one is adorable too, although could be brightened a bit. The angle on #3 doesn't work for me, although the flowers and all are lovely. I agree that #4 is underexposed, but i love it!

Oh Amy! These pics were worth the wait!

1. I simply ADORE those big beautiful eyes! Everything looks really nice here imho. She might be a tad cool, but if so, only a tiny bit.

2. Again ... look at all that light you got in her eyes! Nice bokeh. I think I prefer the higher vantage point of #1, but this is still very nice.

3. I think it's her expression, but I really love this one. And I love the flowers in her dress echoing the flowers behind her. It just screams summer! Her face and arms seem to have different color.

4. This one doesn't seem as bright as the others in the set, but it just looks like it was more cloudy on this one, honestly. The whole temperature of the shot seems different. Not wrong, just different. Another really sweet grab though!

I'm glad she cooperated long enough for you to get these! She's such a pretty girl and the camera loves her (even if she doesn't return the affection). Smile

TFS!

You are all so kind thank you so much for the great cc, I actually have tears in my eyes because I was thinking these had lots of problems or wouldn't be right. Don't ask me why it is making me teary, I swear it's not hormones lol! I will try to work some more on the brightness and color.

It's funny you mention the flowers echoed in her dress, because I have a patch of pink & orange zinnias (as you might notice from my recent nature photos) that perfectly matched her dress! So I actually had her pose next to them at one point.

Not the best pic but you can at least see what I mean:

Here's another favorite of mine even though the smile isn't 100% "normal" lol:

I'm so jealous sometimes of moms with little girls. You can dress your LOs in the cutest clothes. Monster truck shirts and camouflage pants just don't photograph as well as flowers and ruffles! Smile

WOW, her dress does really match your flowers. And I LOVE the expression on her face! Gotta love capturing those real life moments. As much as we all love eye contact and the perfect smile, it's moments like these that we will always remember!

I'm so glad she cooperated for you! What a cutie!!!

1. this is so sweet, and the catchlights are great. I'm seeing some magenta here though. focus looks good, and I like the flowers in the background and how they match her outfit.

2. colors looking better here. Wink

3. yep, seeing magenta here too. I'm not loving the perspective from above though, I'd like this better more on her level like the others.

4. I don't have my settings stripped when I process with Noiseware. I'd bump the exposure just a tad. I wish she was farther from the tree, but at the same time, this is my favorite photo of her from this set. Just so stinkin' cute!

Okay, the flowers & dress are perfect together in your later share. Cute!

Thanks Sadie, and thank you Gwen for the detailed cc about the color etc. I'll adjust the magenta & see what I get, and the exposure some more in the last one (of the original set). I'm also going to try redoing #2 to get it smoother, not sure what happened on that one.

About the angle in #3, I had raised my angle a bit because behind the flowers is a rather unattractive shed that would have been showing more above the flowers had I lowered myself down to her level all the way :/ I personally still like the pic because of her expression and how she's holding her dress Smile (which I didn't choreograph at all!)
