Man, that was a difficult process. I decided to get my new logo through Design Outpost. I'm not sure I can recommend it, though in the end I did get something I like. It was such a stressful process as most of the people who offered designs were WAY off from my style and what I wanted.
Anyway...it all worked out in the end. Here is my new logo.

I also got a little icon to use when I don't want to use the whole logo.

Boy, I sure hope other people like it, 'cause this is going to have to be it for a long while. I hope the "preserved in amber" concept comes across.
I have a non-shiny version too. I don't know how to make the whole square look like glass.
Now, see, I like the shiny part a lot. It really tells me what it's supposed to be. Just one opinion, though!

Very nice, great colors, love the button, and that font used in your name--I love that and I think I have that in my font files, or one very similar. I'll have to try it out...
The only part I don't personally like is the all-caps font for "Your Memories Preserved"....but I suppose any fancier font and it would compete too much with the name font.
For the shine on the button, they just need to make it more square shaped & wider to cover more of the square.

It is a beautiful logo, the image is classic enough that you can have it for a while, nice work.
