    Default Not-your-typical Newborn Photos

I visited a friend yesterday who had her baby about a month ago, so naturally, I (and she ) wanted to take some pictures. I'm so not to the point to try out any typical newborn photos, so I just took some more lifestyle photos instead.

Baby loves the paci, and I think I only got one good shot of him without it, so I decided to try out a B&W on one of them. I'm not usually a B&W person, so I never do conversions. How does this one look, though?

    Here's the color version

And a couple of others, in case you're interested. I don't have the settings for them at the moment, as noiseware stripped it.

Not sure what "lifestyle" photography is . I think you did good. The only comment I have is to clone that line in the background with the mom and baby, line goes thru her head and is distracting. Can't comment on color since I am at work and my monitor is not calibrated. The baby's shirt in the first picture looks blown.

I like the lifestyle picture ( I assume you just mean more like in his natural state rather than being posed). I am by no means a pro but if I had cc I would say that I think the shirt is a little too bright and I may even tone down his skin just a little. But i love it.

The line in the one mother/son shot is distracting. I hink I would have brought the foot out a bit more. Other than that I love them. Good work! Beautiful.

    I LOVE lifestyle with newborns!
    1. I actually like the color version better. Maybe clean up his face a bit though...dry skin.
2 & 3- I agree on the line, but other than that- love it!

I like the color version of #1 the best. Something about the orange, blue, and green are sweet. Also think the the BW is too bright. It seems his skin may be blown. Love the mommy and baby photos. The first one I would probably try to get rid of the molding (if you can). I would like to see more of the baby's foot in the last one. It's kind of an awkward crop.
