Well, I guess this one is fall related. I made me think of fall b/c of the weather we were having at the moment. If it isn't related, I'll take it down.

Do you want us to just edit our posts when we add new ones or just reply again?

Yesterday was a nice cool, fall morning, and as I step outside to head off to work, I had to run in and get my camera! I wish it would have turned out as pretty as it was IRL, but it works.

I love all of these fall photos! Fall is the BEST! Smile Everyone's photos look great!

Sadie - Love the sunrise and wheat.. is that wheat? Smile Either way, they're beautiful!

Amy -I love the sun through the tree! That's awesome!

Kel - ADORABLE! I love it!

Sweetalienchick (Sorry, don't know everyone's names!) - I love the red leaves!

I tried my hand this evening, but this week is the first time we're seeing temps below 70, so things haven't really changed all that much just yet.

Anyhow, here are two from tonight. It's been rainy and yuck here lately, so I'm hoping to get more soon!

Love that 1st one Jen!! Loida, I LOVE LOVE your new one, I'm so jealous Biggrin
Thanks Sadie! I purposefully positioned the yellow maple leaves in the bokeh on that one and my burdock seedpod pic (that one's at Flickr & FB), it was a tree that is across the creek from our backyard Smile I loved how the yellow looked as bokeh for the brown subjects.

Loida- LOVING the yellow leaves! I need to start looking for leaves, but I don't know if we have any good ones around here!

Here are a few new ones from yesterday, the first sunny & dry day we've had all week.

our funky maple tree in front seems to drop its leaves before they even change color...the front yard is covered with leaves already but look at the tree:

I have so many more fall shots! I'll just share a few though Smile I have lots more on my flickr. We went to the beach and then for a small walk and found a hill with LOTS of dry leaves. They were not wet! lol Thank goodness we went yesterday, today its been raining so I'm sure those leaves are all wet now.

Had fun with these two from last night. Fall means we can have fun outside. We were building a firepit for our family night tonight, and the sunset was gorgeous, so I ran in and grabbed my camera. The second one, I played with the colors b/c SOOC just didn't do it justice.

an Orton effect on some yellow maple leaves

I love SILVER Maples, but don't get to see them as often as I did when I was a kid...so I was happy when I found a leaf of one in my yard this week!

yellow & blue

I love dogwood leaves in sun:

and one more, my lovely orange mums....

you have a nice yard! Smile we have no trees in our back yard. Just the forest but its on the other side of the fence and not so easy to get to. I have a few stray leaves in my yard though and a few other things but nothing very interesting lol Winter is going to be extremely challenging for a photo of the day. It's so boring around here during winter.

I've always wanted to have a flower garden! I can't wait to have one someday. We usually go away every summer (to the usa) and I usually have no one to take care of my plants so I haven't had one at all. This year I barely put out a few flowers out front in some pots. I also planted some coriander but when I got back they looked awful! Being gone for six weeks with no one to care for them really does a number on plants lol I also want to have my own garden someday in my own back yard! Hopefully once we move and buy a house Smile

Amy - I love the maples! They're beautiful! They're one of my favorites!

Loida - Your kids are too cute! I love how you caught the light through the trees in the last one!

Kerry - I love that deer (stag?)!! That's awesome!!

Here are a few more from me...

Thanks JD! Loida, I know the first year of the garden would be most sensitive care-wise, but if you plant native plants you won't have to give them any special care, they should take care of themselves in most situations. My wildflower garden takes care of itself pretty much; I only give new plants a little extra water now & then, but they don't absolutely need it.

Great info Amy. I'll come to you whenever I do get a garden of my own. Biggrin It won't be for awhile though. I'll have to check out what the native plants of Colorado are. I'd love some wild flowers in my yard!

October's full moon...

Eva running through the leaves....

a particularly gorgeous dogwood leaf....

and some of the last remaining blooms of the garden....Variegated Sedum...

Amy- I love that moon picture! I'm guessing you used a tripod for it? What were your settings and lens?

Thanks Jacquie! Actually I didn't use a tripod  .....
Since I don't have a big telephoto lens for my Canon/SLR, I took my moon shots with my Fuji S5100 which is my NON-SLR digital camera that has a 10x zoom and full manual capabilities....and attached to it was my 2.2x telephoto converter lens (Raynox) that I bought for the Fuji to take bird shots with. I put it on full zoom, and manual, and I'll check my manual settings for you and post back.

It helps a lot that the sky was clear that night. When I took the same setup out the next night, and there was haze/clouds over the moon, it didn't do nearly as well.

I'm really happy with the results from that night, and I'm very happy you like them too!

EDIT: according to Flickr the settings I used were 1/640, f/6.3, ISO 100. I could have sworn I set ISO to 400, but maybe not...I'll double check the original file at home.

I promise I will come back and cc some of these when I have got a moment later tonight, but I have a few more too!

Another deer. I am very fortunate to live so close to an area where I can see them in the wild all the time. I was actually sat on the ground watching the big stags when this young buck appeared behind me.

Found these while on a walk with the kids.
