This was my first time taking pics in manual mode. The pics are sooc cause my trial is up on the editing program that I had. I know they need to be fixed but I just had to share my excitment with you all.
The other day while driving I found this old broken down bus and fell in love! I was in water up to my ankles with flip flops on but I did not mind at all. I took some pics real quick but I plan on taking my daughter and getting some pics of her inside the bus. I posted a pic of her below in the outfit that I will put her in but wanted opinions on what you all think. I am thinking of maybe changing the white shirt she is wearing?
I tried asking my mil and she told me I should put a backpack on her. Um no, not the vision I was having lol! Anyhow here are the pics of the bus. When I go back I am going to really play around with the settings on my camera.
The other pics I need help with. since I am just starting out in manual mode I often forget to change settings when going from shade to sun. These are WAY overexposed. Any chance of fixing them or should I just start over?
AND ONE WITH MY NEW LENS I GOT YESTERDAY!!!!!
hey that looks like a great place to have a shoot! can't wait to see your pics from there! I think if you just started shooting in manual mode that you should think about putting a different top on her because you might end up blowing the shirt. It happens to me quite often I think that skirt is really cute though. as for the overexposed pics. Do you shoot in RAW? That's the only way I can think of how you can save them otherwise I think it might be a bit difficult.
That looks like a great place. It would be really neat in b&w. Can't wait to see what you do. I agree with the white shirt, I would change it. I was dumb and put Ruthie in white last photo shoot and I am kicking myself for it! I had to at your MIL comment!
Sorry, I meant to comment on the pics. I had too many things going on at once. I don't know how to fix them. I suck at editing. I do think he's a doll though and YAY for a new lens!
cool bus! can't wait to see Jazz there, that's such a neat idea!!
yeah, the ones of Damien are blown, saving them will mess with the resolution of the final image too much. gotta love digital, you can just start over. but I'm loving his mohawk!!! I've wanted to do that with Jack, but he has such a full head of hair that I haven't.

Good luck with your US today!!
I agree, such a cool spot and prop. And your daughter looks like she'll fit right in with a very neat feel! No suggestions for a top, but I'd steer clear of white as well. I have such a hard time not blowing whites.
I'd say the ones of your DS are a bit too over exposed for saving. I tried saving an over exposed pic one time in photoshop and I just couldn't do it. Maybe someone more experienced could? He's a cutie though

WAY COOL BUS! Jazz is going to look AWESOME in it! I'd love to see one of her leaning out of the front windows if possible ... it's just looks like the perfect frame for her. Some other color shirt will be better, but I'd still keep it a light color (light pink, maybe). The contrast of her light/bright colors to the faded, earthy tones of that bus will be so cool.
So those photos are over exposed ... I still wouldn't trash 'em. Try converting them to b&w and then maybe playing w/ some texture. You could end up w/ something you really love.
It's always great to see you posting, so keep it up!
