She's a cutie-pie, as always! I really like the angle you chose for the sliding board picture. It looks like some of the color might be lost in the skirt and socks, however. Number #3 is a sweet shot, too.

Thank you Janet!! I might have that first shot saved as RAW (I used RAW+JPG for part of them that day) so I'll look. But what program other than PS will allow me to work on RAW files? I tried opening it in PSP8 but couldn't. My camera's software opens it but only lets me do basic editing, not all the things I can do in PSP.

    Hi,

I'm very new to the world of photo-editing, but hopefully someone here can answer your question (I'd like to read the answer, too). I started editing in Gimp because it's free. I like it but have nothing to compare it to since I haven't used PS.

I should really try Gimp...I've been hearing about it for years but haven't used it yet.

p.s. I hope that none of those pictures in my "whole set" (above) were set to private; if they were, sorry--I made sure this morning that they're all public.

really great set! they have that spring feel to them - love the sidewalk chalk as a background element!

my fave is #4. I love the composition. It gives it such a sweet feel. Color, focus, and exposure look good from here too (though I'm at work and uncalibrated, so take that w/ a grain of salt).

As for RAW file support for PSP, I'm not sure, but I think I read somewhere about there being a plugin for PSP from Pixmantec. called "RawShooter" or soemthing like that. In fact, where I read it was in a review of the latest release of PSP. I think they're bundling it w/ PSP now. I'd google it and see if you could find a download for your version of PSP.

    Best,
    GiGi
