Talking overplayed, but I wanted some for myself

    my boys...

I would love to make the color more rich. Should I try a color balance layer???

All I really did was multiply and add a curves layer and a color overly layer.

honestly, I don't think that could be overplayed. I'm DYING to get sunburst pictures myself (stupid battery died tonight when I took the camera out to play with the sun). I really love these! what time of day did you do them? I don't know about the color balance layer, haven't tried that. play with it and see what happens. I saw an action last night that would totally work to do it, but it wasn't free and I can't remember where I saw it.

Gwen, I took them about an hour/hour and a half before sun set.

I think I'm gonna try a red bal. layer and see if I like it. It's killing me that it looks like I chopped Matt's foot in the second one.

I recently figured out my first sunburst as well. Can't overplay it.

Wouldn't worry about the foot chop, I didn't even notice it.

Try a stronger contrast layer in curves.

Okay, I did a red color balance layer set to 40 and I really liked it, but I am going to try a contrast layer. I am still learning cs3 and my pp'ing is iffy, but I really liked how these came out so I think they'll be worth playing with!

BTW, thanks girls for the replies!

These are awesome. I just made dh get up out of his chair so he could see them, and then told him he will help me try to practice sunflares
