I'm looking for patterns outside ... I know it would be easier to do it inside (well, I think, anyway, I just haven't tried). Anyhow, not sure if any of these really can be called patterns. It's been interesting trying to pursue a pattern them in nature though.

I'm with you! I am totally going for something in nature for my pattern entry ("naturally", haha). I'm not telling what though; you'll see it when I post it
I debated on whether or not to use a big spray of flower buds or seed heads as a pattern photo. I kind of decided that they weren't quite right for a "pattern" (IMO). But others might disagree! That's ok!
Of your set here, I think I like #6 best for a "pattern" because the thorns are arranged alternately along the stem.
yeah, I was thinking the thorns were the best representative of a pattern. this challenge is hard!
