Photography Class

My first photography class is tonight!! I'm so excited. I'm not quite sure what to expect, but I hope I get something good from it.

It's crappy weather here today, so I'm not quite sure what we'll do for the whole 3 hour class. It had better be worth it...I dropped my DD off at daycare this morning and I'm not going to get to see her again until tomorrow morning Sad (I won't be getting home until after 10 tonight).

I'll give you all an update and let you know how it went...probably tomorrow because I usually crash at 10! Wish me luck Biggrin

Oh how did it go? Smile i'm sure you are done with it by now. Lol did you learn anything new? Smile

dh goes several days, sometimes a whole week without seeing the kids because he wakes up and leaves before they wake up and gets back late from work after they are in bed already.

Well, the first class was kind of boring. But, I have high hopes for the remainder! We just went over what we'll be doing over the next 8 weeks. Lots of field trips and lots of picture taking. We ended an hour and a half early because he had nothing else to talk about. Though, he is VERY experienced. He used to be a wedding and portrait photographer. I'm going to have to see if I can't look up some of his stuff. I won't be able to make it for the last class, which is where we have to print at least 24 of our photos for student critique Sad That stinks, but I knew I was going to be out of town.

A little bit of interesting info he gave us. If you go to rangefindermag.com you can sign up for a free photography magazine. He said it's one of the best photography magazines and highly recommends it. Thought I'd share that Smile

ETA: There's also another magazine they do called AfterCapture that covers everything AFTER the picture is taken. I think this one is free too. They also have a photoshop one, but you have to pay a $99 a month subscription to their service. But, he said if you are really into using photoshop, it's worth it.

I'm so jealous! I want to take a class, but there are only like two around here and they are always at times that I can't make it. Maybe I will go look now to see what is available at the local Community College this summer.

Glad you think it will be good. Can't wait to see how you improve!
