She's an absolute cutie! I can certainly see how far you have come, great job! They only things I might have done differently is pull her further away from the wall if shooting head on or turn her (depending on the light) and shoot along the wall to get some lead in lines going directly to your niece. Clarity, focus & exposure look good. If these were taken with your P&S, you are rocking it!
You are doing great! I agree, I would pull her from the wall too. Her eyes look great though! She looks a bit hazy in the 2nd one though. Did you do something different? I like the tilt.
These are GREAT!!!!! You have grown so much in such a short amount of time. I know your family is going to adore these of your beautiful niece! Oh .. and before I forget ... these looks REALLY NICE for 800 iso! I get so much noise at 800 that I never go that high. You really used it well here!
1. I like the composition. You *could* move her away from the wall a bit. Might give you some bokeh, but I like the use of the wall here. She looks soft (not out of focus, just feminine) next to the hard lines of the bricks. I like it.
2. This is my favorite of the set. Her eyes aren't quite as sharp as the others in this set, but I love the direct eye contact and sweet expression. I can see you in her eyes!
3. Great use of the rule of thirds here! It makes it a very pleasing composition. She is ADORABLE! I wish she didn't have the hand and head chop, but the composition still works as the focus is on her amazing eyes.
4. Her face looks a little OOF to me. I think the focus fell on her hair instead. This is still a nice shot, but it would really pop if the focus had been on her face.
Again ... GREAT WORK Cassandra! You did a wonderful job of making sure she had nice light in her beautiful dark eyes (not easy to do).
TFS!

I LOVE these!!! You are doing so great. I love the colors throughout the photo. I love the light in her eyes. I love her smiles. I love the bricks and how they coordinate with the warm colors of her outfit and flower and her skin. These are totally sweet.
Her face on #2 and #4 looks a bit OOF. The focus in #1 and #3 looks awesome.
If I was her Mom I'd be soooooo thrilled!![]()
