Picture for CC

So I'm thinking about getting this picture printed and framed for my guest bedroom. I recently painted the headboard bright red and I have been looking and looking for art to put on the wall. I like this because it's nice and neutral except the pop of red in the center of the flower Smile Can't decide which one I like best.

For printing I would go for the 1st one because you retained most of the detail in the whites. In the second one, the whites are blown. I like the red, but wish the focus included the stamen or was on the stamen.

I'll have to try to find another red and white hibiscus and try that. I do have one with the focus on the stamen but it's a pink flower and the focus is off a little.

Beautiful macro! I love the colors and composition. Was this with a macro? If so then I totally understand the OOF stamens....hard to avoid with a macro.

No it was the 18-55mm. Don't have a macro... soon.... soon... (hopefully LOL)

Love the colors, but definitely try for more focus before you print it. I think a flower like that would look great on the wall.

Here's what I've been wanting to try for macro - http://www.jpgmag.com/stories/228

Hmm, I have to agree, I would try again for a tad more focus. I love the idea though and am totally stealing that for our guest bedroom, TFS! I would keep your eye out for some canvas sales too!
