My son is in a wrestling camp with one of the wrestlers who is in the olympics. I have been there all week cause dh has to work. (Wrestling is his thing although I really like it he wants to be there so bad) So I take pictures everyday for him to show him what they are doing. Hes all.. what did they work on? Me... um, that thing where you duck under then throw someone? I dont know the names of these things and he knows that, but this week right as school is getting out and im rushing to get there carpooling friends thinking when can this be over!,he sends me a text..(Tia, thanks for getting him there everyday it means alot to me.) Just those words made me feel appreciated and thought okay, this isnt so bad lol. Plus I get cool points for showing him all the pics of this guy. Im going somewhere here just bare with me...
I was showing him pics of the wrestler and my son and he said (do you even know who this guy is!) um, not really but I guess hes important.
ANYWAY, the wrestlers dad seen me taking pics all week and asked if I could get a group picture today for the paper.
Man, maybe this guy is a big deal lol! So my problem is not only that now rather than 1 12year old I have about 80boys and the pic is being taking in the school gym with horrible lighting! all week I have been at 2.8 to 3.5 but with a group shot I am thinking atleast an ap of 8 or 9 which means a very low ss. WWYD? Should I just bring in a tripod or would that be too much? i know I can do it I just want to get it right and right away so I am not making all these boys just stand there. That 12 year old I shot the other week is looking like a piece of cake now!
I told dh about the paper thing and he thought it was cool and said well atleast you will be excited about going today lol.(Oh and I got more cool points) He acts like its no big deal but I hear him on his phone out in the garage telling his friends that I am doing it lol!
This morning I was looking at the post Steph posted and asked for his opinion cause I could not choose and he was all into it and really gave me his opinion rather than just saying that one. I think he is seeing that I am doing this for him so he will be into my thing a little. It will probably be the first time I show him pics where he takes his TIME looking and does not just flip thru so fast.
I dont have to go till this afternoon but anytips before then will be greatly appreciated!
I wish, phew... that would be a breez! I am shooting with the 60d so I think my iso can be cranked a little but good idea, maybe we could go out on the track cause sometimes they run around it before practice. I am going to try and see. THX
