It's an interesting shot! What exactly is it?
What lens are you using? I sometimes get vignette from my 35mm lens because it's a wider lens. I'm not sure what's exactly causing it though, hopefully someone will be more help
I used my 50mm1.8 lens with a Raynox DCR-250 2.5x Super Macro Lens attached.
I attached a link so you could see it
It's hard to say about the vignetting. What was your background? A wall? How was the light coming in on the wall? Could just be the way the light was hitting the wall from the window. That being said, some lenses do have vignetting. I'd experiment with it a little more to see if it's the lens or your background.
Now, I don't know much about macro photography, but it's pretty impressive that your SS was just 1/20. Seems like there should be some camera shake/more softness with a SS that low. I even double checked your settings But maybe things change with the adapter?
It was light coming in from a window on the wall and after I looked at the wall the light was just different on one side. Good to know it was not the lens
I also had to check my settings again cause this is not a lens I use often. I set my camera to av mode as I wanted to make sure the shot was in focus. With the macro lens my ap has to be on atleast f8 to keep everything in focus. I could never hand hold at 1/20 so there must be some change with the adaptor lens.
That's what I thought it was, but wasn't sure! The bud sure looks neat!
I had adaptors for my 50mm 1.8 before DS1 broke it. Macro is a lot of fun, IMO.
I would try the lighting in different locations in your house and see what it produces!
I just ran to the store and bought a purple rose so I am going to try with that but I will do it in a different area for sure
Tia, cool shot! I've wanted to get one of those adapters. I'll have to check out that link. I don't think the vignette is that bad in the photo. That being said, it is from the adapter. My friend has a macro and telephoto adapter and both have the same effect. The latter is significantly worse and noticeable, but I think the macro is just fine when you can't afford the high price of a new lens.
