PP help... Updated with SOOOC... PTE Wouldlike to see your play

Ok, I worked and worked on this picture last night and I think I was getting crossed eye or my eyes were playing tricks on me. I will have to post SOOC when I get home, I guess I didn't upload it on flickr or smugmug. Any hooo... which is best?

Here is the SOOC

Setting: SS1/100, ISO 250, f4.0 Speedlight fired

I really like the pp on #4 even though it's not really natural if you know what I mean.

1 seems too yellow or like it needs brightened.
2 is just too washed out.
3 looks pretty good.
4 I like, but needs some of the detail brought backinto his eyes.

4 is very dramatic! Neat. I like 1 though. Smile

Thanks everyone. I guess the first one is bugging me because I am seeing the same yellowy skin like Tiff is.

Well as you gave PTE and cos I don't get many people to practice on I had a play.

basically I took out some red and yellow and darkened the blacks slightly, I played with curves and sharpened

and I had to try a black and white

After 10 minutes of frustration (sorry El!)

I ended with a soft choc. b&w:

I opened in ACR and might a slight temperature adjustment ... then I added a levels adjustment (and perhaps negated the temp adjustment) in PSE. The RGB numbers actually look good on my end ...

It's private in Flickr and I can take down if you'd like. I forgot to sharpen for web before uploading ...

and for kicks I ran an ethereal action on it

Here is mine. Added magenta to highlights midtones and shadows and a touch of red to midtones and highlights. Played with the curves a touch...pulled up the middle of the curve and the dark end down very very slightly.
