Practicing :)

I took some pics of a high school friend (who I haven't seen in like 10 years)s daughter today. She posted on FB that she needed some photos done for a talent agency on short notice, so I offered to do it (free of course) and when I got there she was totally hung over. Sad She was holding back the vomit the whole time and I could tell she just wanted to go home, so I only shot for about 20 mins.. which was really disappointing for me, cause I drove like 45 mins to get there. Plus the location that she picked was a dingy old elementary school, with no character. I learned a lot though, and I was glad I did it! Anyways, I thought I would get on here and share, since its been awhile. Any and all CC is welcome. Thanks Smile

I'd say color for sure. The B&W is more of a chocolate to me, and it is pretty 2 demensional to me. Maybe if you increased the contrast or pulled your blacks up a bit it would help. I love the eyes, and focus looks amazing Smile

Thanks for the CC! I always seem to make my B&W's a bit muddy. I'll re do it with some more contrast.

Sorry about the frustrating shoot, but the photos are beautiful. I agree the B&W just needs a boost of the darks.

Wonderful photos, good job (despite the crappy circumstances). I actually prefer the B&W... the color seems a tad dark to me. 3 is great, but 4 looks a bit posey for me.

I'm sorry the shoot was such a challenge, but your pics look great.

Did you crop the close-ups? I'd be curious to see them with the top of her head showing, if it's possible.

My favorites are #2 and #3. You captured her beautiful eyes really nicely in these two shots.

for such a challenging experience, you did a GREAT job here! I'd love the see the b&w w/ more contrast. it's a great start ... just needs a little tweaking. funny how much the conversion can change a photo ... it hardly seems the same shot as the color. LOVE IT!

I really like #2 and #5. They show such different aspects of her personality. That will really pay off if these shots are for a talent agency portfolio. Smile

Great work!

Thank you everyone for the CC! I added some contrast but then flickr wouldn't let me upload any more this month! Darn!

I did crop them, but the head chops were already done in camra . Thank you for the CC!
