PrePro Set

I think I'm finally ready to take the plunge. I slapped together a set today and need to weed out a few. Any CC more than appreciated. When they changed the settings on the site, for some reason I keep forgetting to check this board!

I took a quick glance at them, but I'll come back for any CC that I see, later. I just love your photography. It's going to be hard to find anything to say Wink

I know that there are ladies here who've been through this process and can help with some really specific CC... I'm not one of them! But I do think the set looks great, and wish you good luck! (Not that you will need any luck!)

Thank you, I would so appreciate it! I just want to weed out any that are iffy or questionable Smile I kind of just want to have a clean set and not even think about it and hit submit Smile ha, only taken me two years though.

GREAT SET KRISTEN!!! #10 looks ever so slightly snap-shot-ish to me, so I am not sure I would include that one. And on #20, the stand behind them looks tilted which makes the family look like they are leaning. It may be that the stand was on uneven ground, but I found myself tilting my head while looking at it. I would straighten it with the stand as my reference point but otherwise keep this shot as well.

I love the variety in your shots - you have wonderful black and white conversions, a good mix of head shots and body shots, groups and individuals of a wide range of ages. I think you so are so beyond ready for this.

TFS!

These are the ones I'm thinking of getting rid of, #17, #10 (although I really like that one Smile ), and any with color issues Smile maybe #19? does it matter his shadow is cut off?

20 looks great now! I don't think the cut shadow is an issue on #19. In fact, I would probably try a bit tighter crop, but not so much that you lose the boats in the background - I find that a great supporting accent.

Best,
GiGi

I left comments on your flickr.

Here is my overall CC. You have a lot of centered images, it's not bad but I know they like ROT style pictures. There were a couple I thought looked like snapshots. Also, make sure that if you are including pictures from a session that you have a variety of lighting, most were flat lighting. Good luck!

I am still undecided to apply since I don't really think I'll ever go into business with photography, lol! Oh and my set is taking me 5 years now in the making.

I don't have a whole lot to add to what has already been said. Great job!

Thank you girls!

Thanks for the details El Smile I just did everything you suggested quick, and deleted your comments as I replaced them with the fix (that's what I should do right?) I'm just going to debate a few and probably submit with about 32.

Yes - I would delete the comments. I think you have the basic down fine. You shouldn't have any issue getting approved!!!

I looked through these earlier, and even wrote down the #s I was going to comment on...but then I got sidetracked.

And I was going to say what El said!

:goodluck:

You have some beautiful shots there, I have no CC to add, and I'd like to wish you the best of luck (not that you need it with your talent).

I think you set looks great Kristen! the only thing that really stands out me is #3 (newborn) her skin seems a bit red compared some of the other indoor type shots. Love your variety. My set is 3yrs in the making now...was hoping to get some while on mat leave but..not there yet. Good luck! Smile

Thanks girls. Still waiting Smile Although it's given me the chance to fix a few.

Thanks Gehana, that was bugging me too. I toned it down a bit. Smile
