Project 52: Week 18 - Water

Sorry for posting this so late. Our week 18 theme has been chosen.

"WATER" is this week's theme.

I can't wait to see how everyone will interpret this theme. Have fun!

This isn't brand-new but it's recent, all I have for now for this theme....I'll try to get a new shot too.

This was in a small stream along the bike trail we went to recently.

I've been wanting to get out to a creek bed for some super slow-shutter speed water photos for ages, but it probably won't happen this week, so I went with something different: oil and water macros! Hope it counts, since one of the two main ingredients is water. Biggrin

It's pretty easy to do, just don't make my mistake and use too much oil. I'd do the set-up again this week, but probably won't have time. Apparently just a few drops of oil works best to get a really sleek effect. I could do much better if I tried it again, I'm sure. There's a lot of info on it if you google "oil water macros".

ETA: OK, I had 20 minutes this morning after all, so here's my quick try with less oil. Definitely works better, but man, these macro bellows are cool but hard to use. Just can't get focus very easily without communication with the camera. And you can see the texture of the glass beneath one of these.

Seems like it's usually just me on these P52 threads, but anyway! We had a VERY surprisingly hot weekend, record-breaking for May here, so we broke out the sprinkler. Really fun water shots:

Ooh I love the 1st new oil shot, and the second-to-last sprinkler shot with just the foot and the base! Awesome!

Tracy I am so far behind with these that I don't know that I can catch up. It definitely isn't a P52 for me at this point. I just wanted to say I love, love, love the second shot in the second set of oil macro.

Thanks, Amber! Great shot, love the total abandon in his body language there!
