To keep with the February Valentine theme - I thought it would be appropriate to pick red as our next them.
Let's see them ladies! Don't forget to have fun!

Just chug-chug-chugging along.
Welcome back, Tina! And way to come back with a huge hit!
What an adorable photo! I love it!
As for CC ... I have no experience AT ALL with baby photos (Logan is 11 now) but I love the concept you had in mind here. You might check your white balance. Is the backdrop and floor supposed to be white? Not sure if it is a WB issue or just a color cast from the red rug, but these areas don't look white to me. Might just need a little dodging to bring it out.
Also, I wish you were just a little lower so we could see her face a bit more directly.
I can't get over your absolutely adorable model though. Really brings a smile to my face!
Hi Tina!! Oh my goodness, she is absolutely adorable! I love where you're going with this shot. Would you be able to try this one again? I was thinking that you may actually want to get up higher and shoot straight down on her more than you are here. I believe the rug is heart shaped, and that's what you were trying to get? I'd like to see the entire rug in the frame. I doubt you'd be able to get her to look up at you while she's on her tummy, so maybe put her in a cute diaper cover and put her on her back looking up at you. Not sure how wide your lens is, though, so I'm not sure if it's possible. If not, then I would take GiGi's suggestion, and get lower, maybe even laying on the ground, and take the shot. Love this setup!
Thanks for the feedback! Gigi, the bg is supposed to be white, color is just one of the many things I struggle with. I can see after you point it out that this is probably too red/magenta. Steph, so funny that you'd suggest shooting from higher up... I actually did just that. I was on a ladder as high as I could go, and I could barely get the whole rug in with my 50mm. Maybe I should try a different lens? Sharing a few other shots...
The one that is more yellow (too yellow/green? or do you think that one is closer to correct coloring?) was shot on a much sunnier day, and unfortunately I didn't realize I was shooting only in jpg. So not as much flexibility for color correction there. The others are shot in RAW. I think her skin looks closer to normal in the redder ones. She kind of looks sickly in the yellower, but I've looked at them side by side so long, I really don't know which needs correcting, or if they're just so different due to the different light?
Yeah, the color is off on all of the latest ones. The first two are too magenta, and the last one is too yellow/green. I think that your reds are blown on all of them. Maybe just do some work in curves/levels and see if you can get it to where you want it to be. If I have some time, I may try to play with it.
Oh, I love the ones from up high! I'm no good at getting color right, so I'll leave that to Steph and the others who know what they are doing! My fave of the 2nd set is #2. I find that the most pleasing in terms of composition, but I really love her expression in #1.
Seeing these makes my uterus ache (don't tell DH). But thanks for sharing anyway! Can't wait to see more!

I brought it into LR, and toned down the magenta by moving the slider to -14. I cooled it down -2. I brought down the highlights since she was a bit bright, down to -60. Blacks -12, Whites -25. Red luminance -13. Brought it into PSE. I forget the exact numbers, but did a levels layer and played with the red, blue and greens in that to take out some more magenta. Then another levels layer in RGB and masked the skin back in. Sorry I don't have the exact numbers. I already closed the file and can't go back now.
Great shot, Katie! Your boys are just too cute! Mind if I ask where you shot this? I love that green wall behind him and I really dig the way you used the railing behind him. The color pallet is soft, but still "manly" and I've never found that easy with Valentine type shoots.
