Pumpkin patches are so hard to shoot at. Tons of really really bright light, little shade, harsh shadows, and can you say COLOR CASTS!!!
Anyway, I tried to use some fill flash for a few of these, but for most I was lucky enough to get some decent open shade.
6. THANKS DH!
7. Fun story about this photo. I took this photo next to the "paparazzi pit" in the pumpkin patch (the pumpkin patch was in Beverly Hills...hence the need for a paparazzi pit!). Right behind me was the wall of the tent that covered the entrance to the patch. Nathan was in FULL SUN right there playing with the car, so I was bouncing the flash off the wall of the tent. The paparazzi guys said "you're a pro photographer aren't you?" I answered yes, cause...well, I guess I am. He said "I could tell the way you were working that flash". Made me feel pretty good. Guess I look like a pro! LOL

Just chug-chug-chugging along.
I wish we had pumpkin patches here.
Anyway, I love these, your little man is so cute! LOL at the pro comment, what a huge confidence boost! Your dh did I nice job with the pic of the 2 of you. I also love #9, looks like fun!
I love these! And DH did a pretty good job. Nice to see a pic of you!
I wish we had pumpkin patches here too! I can barely find one pumpkin to carve for Halloween and have to pay a butt load just for the one I miss this part of fall! Everything is so wet and cold here now.
I love these pictures can you tell me which pictures you used fill flash on? I am very curious because I want to learn how to use fill flash but I can't ever get it right I guess you use your speed light huh?
these are great! and I'm so glad you got in a picture too. That looks like a fun pumpkin patch with lots to do. Nathan looks like he enjoyed it too.
okay, what does a paparazzi pit look like? So they're just there watching for celebrities?

These are fab, you are a pro for sure! They put mine to shame! You're so right, those are all the things I was having problems with, glad I'm not the only one, but you figured everything amazingly.
