    Default Question for Amber

    Amber -

So ever since I got the mk II when I first open the pics in ps, they initially look soft but if I make them a little bigger on my screen (ctrl +) they look fine. I was thinking that this because the resolution of the picture is higher and my screen is making "approximations" when the pic is shown to be smaller. Just wondering if you have seen this or knew what exactly was going on.

In photoshop our pictures are best viewed at certain percentages. 100%, 50%, 25% and some others I'm not sure about. At those percentages Photoshop displays image pixels evenly. Otherwise, you'll get some strange effects when looking at the pictures. Blurring...jagged edges...and other weird things. This is why it is important to use one of these percentages when doing cloning, sharpening, or other sensitive detail work.
