Question on CF Cards

Okay, my camera came with a SanDisk Ultra II 1GB card, which was totally fine for me when I was just taking random snaps of DS in jpg. Well, I've recently switched to RAW, and am doing several newborn sessions for some close friends in the upcoming months. Unfortunately, being a 1GB card, it only gives me about 90 frames! I actually ended up having to stop the newborn pics I did earlier this month for another friend because my card was full! So embarrassing!

Anyhow, are there any brands you guys recommend? I don't need anything crazy fancy. I was looking at the SanDisk 4GB, since mine has never given me a problem (though at the session I did a few weeks ago, I was snapping pretty fast and my camera suddenly locked up on me. I had to take the battery out to reboot it! Is that the CF card acting up?), but I'm not sure if I should just go with the 8GB and be done with it.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

TIA! Smile

ETA: There is also the SanDisk Ultra II and the Extreme III. I guess it has to do with speed of transfer and stuff? I figured the Ultra II would be fine for me.

Go 8 gigs and be done with it. I can easily fill 4 gigs on a card (I'm an excessive shooter). My cards are all Transcend 8gb 133x They're not super fast, but get the job done. Plus, their a good, reliable card for the money. Haven't had a single problem with a single card and I've been using 3 8gb and 1 4gb card since last year.

Ditto...I always buy 8 gb ones now since I shoot a LOT too. I clean off the excess/least fave pics once they're transferred, but I keep my fave shots on the cards as a triple-backup. I usually buy the black PNY ones but I've had no trouble with other brands either. I haven't found any card to be noticeably slow with uploading.
