Question on how to take my own maternity pics w pic added

Need some advice.
Next week I am going to my friends to ''try'' to take my own maternity pics. I am only a little over 5 months but I already have a belly large enough to photograph lol. My question is how do I get a full body shot and not be so far away? Do I need a wide angel lens for that? Here is a pic my mil took of me about 2 weeks ago but I really don't like it at all cause I am oof. Then again it was just a quick snap shot. My face looks like take the pic already lol.
I only want one full body shot but I want it to all be in focus. I only have my kit lens that came with my xsi and my 50mm which I will use for belly close ups. Would it be better to use the kit lens for full body? I want a pic where I am up on my toes like in pointe ballet. (I think I can still get up on my toes? ) So I want the feet in focus as well as my face. Any idea's?

Tia, you can do it with the 50mm. That should be a sharper lens than your kit. You'll just need an ap of 5.6-7ish to make sure you're all in focus (including the shoes).

I wish I lived close enough to take it for you!
