Thread: quick help needed

I have a picture that I need help with. The person in the picture is properly exposed, but the sky is blown. How do I add blue back into the sky? I use elements.

There isn't a lot that you can do and have it still look realistic. I have a few times been able to add a blue gradient layer to the sky at a very low opacity that looked okay but I have only been able to do this successfully on landscapes.

Did you shoot in RAW? If so and the sky is recoverable you can process the image twice, once for the sky and once for everything else and merge the two images.

Thanks. Tried the gradient layer, and it didn't help much at all. I'll try processing twice in ACR.
