Thread: quick personal note

Hi guys!

I have been waiting for the 'right' time to make this little announcement and things have finally progressed to the point where I can share with the group at large.

Our family is expanding! No BFP for me this time, but that's OK. This time, we are growing our family by adoption. And some time in the next couple of months, two girls (ages 11 and 6) will be joining our little clan.

I wanted you guys to know b/c (1) I feel bad that I've been away from the board so much lately [and will probably have similar time restrictions for the foreseeable future] and (2) I don't post anywhere else, so you guys are 'it' for me.

You can expect at least a few photos (*wink, wink*) from me as the girls transition to our home, but for now I don't have any to share. Hopefully I can remedy that soon.

As you can imagine, Carlos and I are beside ourselves with excitement. Logan has ridden a bit of a roller coaster where the girls are concerned. He was fine and excited about things until it started to get real. Then he went through a lot of anxiety. Now he is rebounding back to the excited phase (which is a relief).

I know this will be a major turning point in our home, but I am truly excited and can't wait to share more with you guys as we work our way through it all.

Wow that is great GiGi! I can imagine what a big adjustment that would be for your son to soak in, but I'm glad to hear he's excited again! Best wishes to you all!

Oh My. How wonderful and exciting. Congratulations. You are such a wonderful person and mother and that really shines through with your posts and on f/b so I can imagine that it will be three times the love at your house.
