Thread: Quick share... 'ugly' hat

My DD let me do some photos yesterday (more to come for CC). I grabbed this hat out of my photo props bin on our way out the door and she was quick to express her digust. When we got out there to take some pics I begged for a few WITH the hat. Her concession? One minute (timed) as long as her face didn't show. Haha.

aw it's a cute hat! #2 would have been really nice if she had been looking at the camera the bokeh is awesome! what was your setting for that?

Settings for all the hat pictures were: nifty fifty lens, ISO:100, f/3.2, SS 1/320

Your DD is really beautiful and though she may think it's ugly, I like that hat on her!

I really like the middle and right pictures. The feet chop in the left one bothers me. Maybe if you crop tighter on it, it won't stand out so much.

the bokeh in #2 is AMAZING and I love the mysterious look created by the fact that we can't see her eyes! REALLY COOL!

I like #3 a whole lot too. There's something so innocent about it. I'll bet it would look cool w/ a kind of retro pp done to it. Maybe w/ rounded corners even.

I can't wait to see more from this shoot!

I especially like #2 as well. You and she will enjoy laughing about the "ugly hat" years down the road. I would like to see this shot closer up, perhaps as a head and shoulders portrait.

Haha, to funny about her not wanting to show her face. I agree with Gigi I would love to see these processed retro or vintagy.
