So this is a photo that I took way back in July that I was thinking (and longing!) about today, so I decided to give it another try at editing. This was taken after a big rainstorm on our way to MIL's house. It was actually a double rainbow, but the second bow wasn't full, so I just took the photo of the full rainbow. I'd love to print this out and frame it for MIL. Not sure what size I would do though. This is cropped for 5x7.

So I guess I'm asking for some CC on the edit. Is it too much? The SOOC was kinda dull. I can include that if you'd like to see what I have to work with.

oh, I don't think it's too much at all! the colors are so vibrant, I think it looks really cool! and a 5x7 is actually a good size for the print. I mean, do you envision it bigger than that? it might be kinda cool to take it and create an 8x10 "mat" for it. then put the image in the middle, and use a border along with a drop shadow for it. make the mat color something that compliments the image. and then put a quote under it, or even just "home sweet home". that would look so cool.

Oooh, I like that idea, Gwen! Though, I tried an 8x10 crop of it, and I kinda felt like I couldn't get it quite right, so I went with the 5x7 instead. Surely that idea could work with the smaller size too? I really never saw it bigger than an 8x10.

Thanks for the imput guys!

It's really pretty! I love Gwen's idea of putting your 5x7 crop on an 8x10 mat and printing it that way.

Cool shot! I'm sure your MIL will love it. I think it might actually be fun to play around with a fisheye effect or something similar (just for fun and not that it needs anything).
