Phew...theres alot going on here...
Hello ladies! I dunno if any of you remember me, but I shamelessly admit that I have now re-introduced myself 3 times now. And...here I go again! My name is Jess, I have been interested in photography for pretty much ever, but have been attempting to get more into it in the past 5 years or so. I use a Rebel XT. I recently (last week) quit my job and became a SAHM and am hoping (fingers crossed) to have a tad more time to spend on photo stuff. YAY!
Below I have a few of my newest munchkin to share, Kaitlyn, 4.5 months old here. CC always welcome and much appreciated, don't go easy on me, I want to grow, you will not hurt my feelings! I just recently upgraded to a Mac and have read different things about the need to callibrate or not, so I have yet to do that....so please let me know if my color looks off to you. thanks so much!
1. Ap 2.8 SS 1/320 ISO 400
2. Ap 3.5 SS 1/125 ISO 400
3. Ap 2.8 SS 1/250 ISO 400
(I should probably crop this one so you don't see the edge of the blanket/paper, oops!)
4. Ap 2.8 SS 1/320 ISO 400
I think they are adorable!! Her skin looks pretty cool (color-wise) but the catchlights and eye contact are great. I think #1 might be too bright in the blanket/pillow and BG but I know a white BG itself is okay to be full-blown so I'm not sure on that one.

These are great and what an ADORBALE little girl you have! I agree with Amy's CC.
ETA: I love the little toes in #2! I hate feet, but baby feet are just so cute! If we are inside I still like to do the girls "photo shoots" with no shoes or socks.
Hi Jess! I bounce back and forth on this board too so don't feel bad! But I've made a promise to try to be more active here. Even if I feel like I don't know what I'm talking about
I agree with Amy's CC. They look a little bit on the cool side and #1 seems very bright with all the white.
I love #2. She's got such a sweet expresion (almost a smile, but not quite there yet) and I like that you can see the hearts (since it is a valentine's shoot!)
I think I'm going to have to try one of these Valentine's Shoots myself.
Oh, and I'm jealous of your SAHM status. I SOOO wish

She's beautiful, and I really love the eye contact. They're adorable Valentine's shots!

Welcome back Jess! We all drop in and out from time to time ... it's great to have you with us.
I can't believe the munchkin is already 4.5 months old!!! How did that happen?
I'm at work, so I cant' really comment on color, but I'll try and hit the rest ....
1. Focus looks really good, but it seems slightly under exposed. GREAT CATCH LIGHTS though! Really draws your attention to that sweet face.
2. Exposure looks spot on here, to me. What a sweetie!
3. I don't mind the crop, even though we can see where the blanket ends. The wrinkles in the background catch my eye more than the blanket. If you can, I would try to smooth that out a bit. Exposure, again, looks really good here and also the great light in her eyes.
4. this one is probably my favorite. I love close ups like this (you should put this in the fill-the-frame asssignment for this month). I love how the close crop brings you right to those amazing eyes. Great expression and exposure looks right on the money.
again ... glad to hae you back!!!
She's so cute I'm not calibrated, but the second one does look a little on the blue side. I like her expression in the last one. She's beautiful.
