    Default Recent Cakesmash

Just wanted to share some from a cakesmash i did on the weekend. I pulled these off my blog and facebook and they seem dark to me than the originals. This little one was NOT feelin this cake at all unitl the very end. I couldn't get over his intense eyes and his overall cuteness. I know about the foot and toe chops in #2 & #4 I don't have my exact settings for each so that's why I'm "sharing" but if you see anything blatenly wrong let me know

Shot with my 28-75 2.8. ISO was around 640 or so with window camera right, reflector camera left, f stop around 3.5-4.0

    1. some "clean" shots prior to the cake

    2. "what IS this thing??"

    3. "it's not so bad...

    4. hooray for cake!!

these are adorable!!! I really like your lighting. and you did a great job fixing that plexiglass line.

My only CC has to do with prep work ... I'd take the shoes off if you're going to see the bottom of the feet in a picture. Something about the soles of the shoes detracts from it. Does that make sense? But his shoes are clean, so it's not bad in that first one. Which, btw, is too cute for words!

Thanks ladies. Gwen, i'm thankful for the spot healing tool for removing that plexi line. I used to use the clone tool but read that the spot healing was better. Proof in the pudding I'll have to remember the shoe tip for next time. I find with some of the kids, the moms are adement on having them wear the shoes to complete the outfit. May next time i'll turn my subject so the soles don't show

These are adorable. I'll second the shoe issue. I know that some Moms really want the shoes, but you really should try not to show the soles in the picture. I always kick myself when I get a good shot but it has soles in it because I will almost always scrap it right away. The first thing I saw in your adorable picture was the shoes instead of that face.
