I've been lurking and posting in challenges, but not very much otherwise. For that, I apologize. I'm going to try harder...promise!

Thought I'd share some of my most recents. I'm in a macro kick lately and really am enjoying that versus people. I think this is where my true photography interest lies. I know it's not the regular fare, but thought I'd share anyway.

WOW! To say you have an eye for this is SERIOUS understatement!

My favorite is probably #2. I love the crisp detail and awesome bokeh. I love the little dab of snow caught in there like that. I love the dark rich browns in that sea of white. composition, color, focus, every aspect is spot on!

I also love that moon shot. I tried that a while back and mine was less than spectacular. Smile yours is ROCKIN'!

TFS, Jennifer!

I like #2 and the moon shot--the moon shot is awesome! I'm hoping to get back out again for the moon this week, and then next month for a crescent Smile
I'm the same way, I have been doing nature photography for 12+ years and it's what I love most, and I'm better at it than at people.....

OHh these are lovely! It's hard to pick a favorite! Smile I love macro too! It's so much easier and lots of fun too! Biggrin I seriously need to get out and about this winter and get some sort of winter macro shots. I don't remember but did you say you got a macro lens or something that attaches to your lenses?

Thanks girls.

Amy, it's a full moon tonight. I'm going to try to see what I can get.

Loida, I have these Kenko extension tubes. I have tried them will all my lenses, but my best combo is any combination of tubes (Depending how close/detailed I want to get) and my Canon 70-200 lens. I don't use auto focus and I don't zoom. I just move my body/camera back and forth to get focus. There's definately a learning curve with these things, but I have found that they are GREAT to have and pretty effective for getting a 1:1 macro shot.

Yeah, I'd definately say that you have a knack for that! These are just stunning! I don't think I can choose a favorite. I love all the detail you caught in #5.

Now, these are right up my street!! Like you & Amy, I certainly shoot more nature, wildlife & macro than people. I always said it was my hobby, but I suspect it's a passion and that people photography will be a hobby. I think that's why I don't post a whole lot here or anywhere else (but I do love to lurk here, lol!).

You absolutely rock the extension tubes! My fave is #2, but the moon is really cool as well.

Some wildlife will be up shortly, lol! Took my boys out for a few hours this afternoon and fell lucky with a fox & deer just before sunset. Lovely stuff! PLus my eldest boy managed a great shot of the fox, he's so proud of himself, lol!

Hey fellow North Carolinian Smile

I'm in Raleigh. I don't head to Charlotte often, but I'm envious of your Ikea Lol

Wow, you are really rockin the macro! I may just have to copy you and get those extension tubes myself. I'm in love with your moon shot. You got some awesome detail in the shadow region. The craters are really standing out.

Very nice, love the bokeh in #4, and of course the moon shot is lovely! These make me want to take a long walk with my camera...

I saw these the other day but I didn't have time to reply. These are really great! I am dying for spring so I can play with my macro lens attachment. you used the macro tube for the moon? that's cool! have you gotten any of these printed? I think one of the cool things about macro shots like these is that they'd look nice printed and on the wall as art. Smile

Suzanne, don't feel like your copying! They're a great (and less expensive) addition to your camera bag and their FUN to use.

Gwen, I didn't use the tubes for the moon shot. They were just with my 70-200 lens. Also, I've gotten a lot of my macro printed and am going to frame it and make a display wall in my living room (same wall as where the lighthouse photo is going). I'm just waiting on finding the right frames for everything. I will definitely show it off once it's done!

I have an awesome frame from an old set of those wildlife prints from cigarette cartons (from like the 1950s or something) that I used for my insect macros because it has a mat with 20 equal-sized openings. I hung it in my living room. I want to make another set with my 2010 wildlife photos.
