Mine is far from as impressive as the other ladies have been. I don't feel as though I have grown leaps and bounds, but I am pleased with my small growth.
The earliest some what portrait I can find from 2012 was in April. I love this field and I still adore this photo, I just see a lot wrong with it.

Also in April we welcomed our new nephew- Eli. I was under a table using Dad as the beanbag and a quick blanket. Not quite the easiest shot, but I still adore this one. It's auntie eyes perhaps! This was my first somewhat try at a newborn.

May was a bit better for me. I had tons of photoshoots. I would feel like I rocked one, only to feel like I failed at the next one.
Loved this family photoshoot. Super easy people.

Another great photo session. Bit stressed out by this shot, but Mom was pleased.

This one I wasn't as pleased with. This family has so many different skintones that the family photos I was never pleased with.

First ACTUAL newborn photoshoot. I sucked it up, worked my butt off for four hours. Man, I am NOT newborn stuff!

June I had a family photoshoot that I struggled with lighting. It was on their property and Dad wasn't as willing.

Bit more of a lifestyle shot before hitting the pool:

Had a very difficult photo shoot, but still enjoyed it. Mom was rushed and little boy wasn't NOT having anything to do with me!

Tried some with my own....

Had an amazing opportunity to go back to Honduras on a mission trip. I used RadLab on the B&Ws. I feel like they work for these, but that's about it.
This little guy stole my heart:

More so than anything, I feel as though I have toned down my editing and found a more simple, yet sometimes fun edit. I don't want to be overpowering, but I want to stand out. I am pleased with my progress and hope to grown tons by next year!
I love them Sadie!

What you talkin' about willis? You have grown A LOT Sadie! Can't wait to see how your style emerge next year.

Just chug-chug-chugging along.
I'm with El! I think you grew more than you think! Know when it took a turn? On your trip to Honduras. Try to think back at that time, and remember what you did differently. Maybe it was just the way you started looking at things. Whatever it was, that really kicked it up for you. I think you're doing a fantastic job!
Sadie, I don't know what you mean... you have really grown hugely this year, IMO. Lately every time I see your photos, I think, "Wow! When did Sadie get so good?" You're really doing amazing, and this thread shows great growth!

It may be hard for you to see, but trust what everyone is saying here - you have grown SO MUCH!
I especially see it in the comfort level you are having with "outside" clients. You may still FEEL those butterflies, but it does not show at ALL in your work and that is what brings moms to tears.
Seriously, Sadie ... you are growing so much each year. You continue to amaze me with your progress and you inspire me to get back behind the camera and back to learning myself.
I also love that you are regularly shooting your own kiddos. I have fallen off the wagon on that front (largely) but you will treasure these shots for many many years to come. And I know that Randy and Ruthie will look back on these one day and remember the love that you poured into every image.
You progressed so well and had some wonderful sessions to grow with. Can't wait to see what 2013 brings.
