I'm on vacation visiting family, and had a few friends book me while I'm here in MI. My last session was last night, and boy did these kids give me a run for my money!! They are super cute though, and even though I left the session thinking I might not have gotten ANYTHING of the little boy, I was surprised to actually have a few WITH eye contact! So, I thought I would share a few.
These are only loosely edited--I'm working off my uncalibrated laptop, so I'm guessing you might see some color issues. I'd love to hear what they are, though, so I can fix them when I get home. I'd also love some feedback on comp, etc.

You can access the pictures on my flickr.

Also, just wanted to add that I made a very rookie mistake of not changing my high ISO back at the end of the session, so you'll see one or two of those. Thank goodness I shoot with a camera that can handle the higher ISO, or I would have been sunk on a few of these. I was so busy trying to get a decent shot of the boy that I forgot my fundamentals. Lesson learned.
    Anyway, thanks for looking!

Oh Lisa! You should be THRILLED! I'm at work on a cruddy monitor, so I can't comment on color, but otherwise, these look AMAZING!!!!

My favorites are the ones of the 2 kids together. I love 2617 (can you say CANVAS?!) and 2500. And for being hard to shoot, you got some NICE ones of that little boy. 2707 is my favorite and I'll bet mom goes NUTS for that one! His eyes look amazing!

these are great! you got some nice shots there! I have a mini session on Thursday so seeing this kind of inspires me I'm feeling a bit nervous. I don't have any props (yet). Did you bring that little rocking chair with you?

Yes, I have a friend here who is just getting into the biz, so she came with me just to tag along and help where needed. I requested that she bring this chair, because I thought it would be perfect for the little girl.
