    Default Sleeping Sully

I have been dying to get these shots of Sully! Last time I tried to open his curtains he woke up. I was even able to take out his paci and move him a couple times! I'm really happy with them, but I wonder what you all thought as well. CC welcome. All shot in manual, iso 400- if I would have raised it, they would have been super grainy.

    1. This is the only one I took with my kit lens. I wish I could have gotten even higher, but I was on the highest chair we have. I've seen some amazing shots similar to this, but much more amazing I wish his head was at the other end, and I did move him after a few shots, but didn't think to take another like this.

Not much time for a lot of CC, but I'm envious... I never get sleeping kid pics!! I really like #7 with the stuffies in the background. #1 is very cool, though I think I'd like to see a slightly tighter crop, and possibly the electrical outlet cloned out? I love the toes in #2. #5 is very sweet!

    LOVE THEM ALL!!!

I like the paci in his mouth, because it is HIM, kwim? And love the dirty toes. Reminds me of my little boy.

    Great job!

eta: Can't believe how low your shutter speeds are! I'm even more impressed seeing how low they are AND your ISO isn't terribly high, as you noted...What camera are you using? My camera is SO BAD in low light situations and I get the grain, but HAVE to bump up the ISO or get terrible motion blur.

I have a Canon Rebel XSi. When I go from iso 400 to 800 I get really bad grain. I wasn't sure if I was going to be steady enough with the low ss!

I have the Rebel XS and 1600 is as high as I go and I have to keep it at 1600, almost without fail, if I am taking pictures in my house!

Awww! I just love sleeping pictures of toddlers/kids. It just shows how innocent they really are, even if they were just into mischief and driving you crazy

My favorite, I think, is the first one. What I see in that one is a little boy who has just been playing really hard, and just crashed when he got into bed. So real.
