    Default Snapshot a Day (03/25)

Congrats everyone! We survived another Monday! Let's give ourselves a round of applause and celebrate by sharing some kind of happy snap for the day.

Seriously, hope you guys have a great day!

Logan has a Solo & Ensemble competition (for orchestra) this evening. He's seriously nervous, so if you are the praying type - he could sure use the thoughts today. I'll get a snap of him this evening all dressed up and ready to play.

Aw, prayers for Logan, I'm sure he'll do GREAT! I can't wait to see him all dressed up and round to wow the audience.

Busy day here again, including some baking. I got a bit weak today about my Lenten fast of not taking so many pics of the kids except for outings, etc. But he DID okay the idea before I took the shot. He was so excited to make these, they're his all-time favourite cookies and he's been asking since November to make them. (Why did it take so long, you ask? Well, with all the birthdays and things we've had, plus leftover Christmas baking, we have not needed to make cookies in eons!)

you can see the anticipation on his face, Tracy! great catch! and I'll bet these were SUPER yummy!

I'll bbl w/ my share - it's still on the camera. But solo & ensemble went really well. Poor Logan really worked himself up into a lather before hand, but the judge told him he "played beautifully." and he walked out of there on air! He won't get his scores for a few days, but I know he feels so much better for having done this - it is WAY out of his comfort zone. Sure makes his mom and dad swell with pride!

here's my shot of Logan practicing at home before leaving for Solo & Ensemble:

the only ones I got of him all dressed up were very quick snaps taken w/ my iPad while we waited at the school. I was trying to be very inconspicuous about taking the pics as he was so nervous as it was. I'll share at least one of those on Friday though.

    Take care,

Great capture of Logan here, GiGi. You can see his tension and how serious he is! Poor kid! I totally feel Logan's pain... I used to take piano exams, and the higher ones are VERY nerve-wracking. My last exam was so awful at the start, I couldn't stop shaking and even a C-major scale was too much for me momentarily. Fortunately the adjudicator gave me a few moments to 'collect myself' and then I managed to get First Class Honours in my result, but it was terrible at the start! :-O Nerves are a nasty thing, but it sounds like Logan managed just GREAT in the end. Let us know how he did when you find out!

I know what you mean, Tracy. Logan gets this tendency to work himself up like this from me. I was/am the same way when it comes to any kind of test or performance/presentation.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. I still don't know when he'll get his results, but to be honest, the hard part is over now. I don't think he even cares too much what his scores will be. *I* want to know though.

    Best,
    GiGi
