Snapshot a Day (06/13) & Flashback Friday!

Happy Friday everyone! I'm kicking this off and have every intention of coming back to post some from my week (I did actually take a few snaps this week), but so far work has been ... well ... a 4 letter word today.

I hope you all have a GREAT Friday and a WONDERFUL weekend!

Please share when you can and know that I will at least be lurking until things settle down.

Best,
GiGi

Happy anniversary, Steph! What a lovely picture of the two of you! Smile

Hudson is getting so big! Great 7-month picture, he looks like a happy little cutie!

Love the bug eyes, and the one of Jackson right above that one.

Sad that this is such a terrible picture, because she is a very special teacher and it would've been nice to have gotten something better. I knew when I took it that it wouldn't be good, but let my shyness get the best of me (not a good trait in a photographer wannabe) and didn't direct her to a better spot. Oh well. Last day of grade 1, which ended prematurely due to a teacher's strike.
Saying Goodbye to Grade 1

Can't remember if I shared this one yet.

The rest of the pics are from flying our new kite. The kids love it!

I haven't posted much lately, really just having trouble finding the time to sort the stuff on my camera.

Here are a couple of our new kitten from my phone.

Crookshanks & Silver - I was surprised to see how well they got along, my 15 year old said she spotted them less than a foot apart.

And speaking of the 15 year old, here she is with Crookshanks, she really likes him, but who doesn't like kittens?

Steph - it looks like you are doing a GREAT job of keeping your guys engaged this summer. I am sure it is exhausting, but look at all the fun pics you have to show for it. Wink I love the fishing photo and Hudson's 7 month photo. Love the bug eye shot too! And you and Drew look FABULOUS celebrating your anniversary. May the next 10 years be even more amazing than the first 10!

Tracy - that rose is just STUNNING! This would make a great card or inspirational poster. The kite looks like so much fun! I still have Logan's first kite in the attic. It's broken, but I just can't bring myself to get rid of it. And your grey is NOTHING compared to mine (plus, I figure I'm likely the oldest mom on the board). You look lovely and I love the windswept look of your hair here. Nora really favors you. Glad to see you come out from behind the camera.

Most of my stuff comes from yesterday. Loki turned 9 months old earlier this week and his breeder asked for some pics to see how he is growing. I was a bit rushed, but we got a few snaps that she liked.

He's only 9 months old, but he doesn't look like a puppy any more. Sad

Tori was glad to see I brought plenty of treats to try and get my picture of him.

and since I was in the back yard, I snapped a few of the flowers too:

and just one more ... been playing around w/ some paleo recipes and finally came up with a really good paleo pizza! we didn't wait very long after they came out of the oven, so I just have this one shot from before melting the cheese:

Logan has a "closing ceremony" at camp this afternoon. I am hoping work will get quiet enough that I can go and snap a few pics there. Cross your fingers for me!

Take care,
GiGi

Steph- you were in my hometown! We should have met up! Craziness! We live about 5 miles from Weidkehrs! Those bug glasses made me laugh out loud and I LOVE the fishing with dad photos!
GiGi- hoping you have a better day! Sad I would say Loki is growing JUST FINE! Wink
Tracy- kite flying looks like so much fun! Grey hair or not, love seeing you in the photos!
Amanda- Crookshanks!? HP fan???

Randy graduated pre-k and now starts K in the fall....

Summer laziness:

We had church camp this week and it POURED the whole time. Needless to say Randy was a mess:

Amanda ... how sweet to see the 2 cats together! That Crookshanks looks like a love - I'm sure not even the big kitties can say no to that sweet face. Smile

Sadie ... wet or not, it looks like your summer is off to a fun start! I love that first shot of Randy - and b&w perfect! he can't be ready for kindergarten yet though?! *sigh*

we need to find a way to freeze time this summer and just soak them all in!

TFS everyone!

Yes, Sadie, I remembered that's where you lived and even suggested to drew that we get in touch and see if you could snap a pic of us, but he didn't seem too into the idea. Probably since we were celebrating? Or, just his antisocial mess coming out Wink

I will come back when I'm on the computer for some comments on the great images! Hudson is on my lap and keeps grabbing my phone. This kid never let's me put him down!

It WAS your anniversary! Wink I would have loved to have met up, but we will this summer. I was a crazy mess yesterday anyways. We are still unpacking from camp.

DD1 and DH are pretty big harry potter fans, I have admitly only read the first book but have seen all the movies, they were fun. Maybe I can start reading Natalie the first book over the summer.

Gigi - I second you posting the pizza recipe. Paleo is good for DH who is gluten intolerant and pizza is a difficult one to find/make a good crust for.
